Full diagnostic assessment - £625

A full diagnostic assessment is designed for individuals who have not been previously assessed for specific learning differences, such as dyslexia, or for those seeking an updated report on their progress, perhaps during transitions to secondary school or sixth form. The assessment produces a detailed report, including a diagnosis of dyslexia if applicable. The process typically takes around three to three and a half hours, with breaks included. The assessment consists of various short activities that evaluate verbal and visual abilities, cognitive processing (including working memory, phonological skills, and other areas), as well as assessments of reading and writing. It may also include assessments of mathematics, if appropriate. This comprehensive evaluation allows the assessor to identify your child’s profile of strengths and challenges and provide personalised recommendations for their educational setting and at home. Suggestions for Access Arrangements in examinations will also be included. The report will be suitable for accessing support at university through the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA)
Dyslexia screening test -£125

Early intervention is crucial for children, and while parents may worry about 'labelling' their child, it can be vital for understanding themselves and how they learn best. No screenings are 100% reliable, but our Child Screening Form may provide insights into your child’s strengths and challenges, which could be signs of dyslexia. We can then contact you to discuss possible options. If you are considering investigating possible dyslexia, we recommend discussing it with your child’s teacher or the school SENCO and sharing the screening results. Collaboration with the school is essential for supporting your child from the start. Exam Access Arrangements Assessment - £125

An Access Arrangements Assessment is a shorter evaluation designed to determine appropriate access arrangements for exams, based on feedback from the school. It does not provide a formal diagnosis of dyslexia. The session lasts approximately one hour. Any access arrangements should reflect your child’s history of need, based on evidence provided by parents and the school, as well as their usual way of working in school. Therefore, it is essential to complete a Family Questionnaire and ensure the school is involved and supportive of the process. The specialist assessor will suggest suitable access arrangements, but it is the school’s responsibility to decide which arrangements to apply for and to submit the application to the awarding body, following current JCQ regulations, which can be found here :
